Our Story Ruby Tuesday began more than 35 years ago, when Sandy Beall, our founder and CEO, opened the first restaurant near a college campus in Tennessee. The food was fresh and made to order, the most popular menu choice was a burger prepared with premium beef and served with lots of different toppings and piping-hot fries, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and guests couldn’t help but say “wow!” It was a place where the servers knew their stuff and came to know their guests as regulars. From that first restaurant, the company has grown to more than 900 locations across the United States and around the world and is one of the most beloved brands in casual dining.
