Companies Announce Strategic Partnership on World Water Day

PHILADELPHIA – March 22, 2008 – In honor of World Water Day, Recyclebank, a rewards program that motivates people to recycle, announced today that it will be partnering with Evian to promote sustainability and encourage recycling. Evian joins the Recyclebank program as the first water bottling company to offer rewards to households for their recycling efforts.

Recyclebank motivates households and communities to recycle by measuring the amount of recyclables from each home and converting the weight into Recyclebank Reward Points. These Points can be viewed and redeemed at www.recyclebank.com with more than 400 national Recyclebank Reward Partners such as Evian, as well as local reward partners like restaurants and grocery stores.

Together, Evian and Recyclebank have teamed up to help protect our world’s natural resources and inspire households to close the loop on used packaging through recycling. Recyclebank provides Evian with an outlet to target its like-minded consumers and educate them on reducing their environmental footprint. This partnership strengthens Recyclebank’s Reward Partner Program and ultimately helps Recyclebank achieve its goal of dramatically increasing recycling rates and keeping waste from landfills.

“Our partnership with Recyclebank is part of Evian’s Water Protection Institute which aims to minimize the company’s environmental footprint and bring fresh, clean water to everyone,” said NAME, TITLE of Evian. “By partnering with Recyclebank, we are able to motivate our consumers to recycle used packaging and help save natural resources.”

Recyclebank Reward Partners recognize the vast marketing opportunities in connecting themselves with a program that promotes recycling, community involvement and environmental sustainability. When households log in to the Recyclebank Web site to redeem their Recyclebank Reward Points, they can readily view reward partner’s logos and links to respective Web sites. Moreover, households recognize that Recyclebank Reward Partners are socially responsible and aim to make communities more sustainable.

Currently, Recyclebank is in more than 40 municipalities throughout Pennsylvania, Delaware, Massachusetts, Vermont, Connecticut and New Jersey with plans for nationwide expansion this year. To date, Recyclebank households have already diverted more than 36 million tons of recyclables from landfills.

“Recyclebank helps companies like Evian strengthen sustainability initiatives and help keep recyclables from landfills,” said Ron Gonen, CEO and co-founder of Recyclebank. “Our partnership with Evian allows us to offer Recyclebank households rewards for Evian products, all the while ensuring these households will recycle Evian’s packaging.”
