Recyclebank ready for residents

CORPUS CHRISTI — With Corpus Christi's urge to go green, recycling events will be at area H-E-B stores Saturday and Sunday.

Staff from the Recyclebank, the rewards program for the city's new curbside recycling program, and Ziploc will give residents recycling tips, answer questions and register families for the recycling rewards.

Each time a household recycles, the amount is recorded turned into Recyclebank points, which can be redeemed at

To earn additional rewards, residents can drop off clean and dry Ziploc bags to recycle at the H-E-B events.

H-E-B recycling events will be:


8 a.m. to noon — 5313 Saratoga Blvd.

8 a.m. to noon — 5801 Weber Road

1 to 5 p.m. — 4320 S. Alameda St.

1 to 5 p.m. — 3133 S. Alameda St.


9 a.m. to noon — 5425 S. Padre Island Drive

9 a.m. to noon — 3033 S. Port Ave.

1:30 to 5:30 p.m. — 1145 Waldron Road

1:30 to 5:30 p.m. — 11158 Leopard St.
