During the school year, students will propose a green project designed to improve their school or community.

After we’ve selected the Top 50 plans, members can donate their points to help make their dreams a reality.

HOW THE GREEN SCHOOLS PROGRAM WORKS

  • MAKE
    A PLAN

    Elementary and secondary schools in participating communities submit a proposal with a budget up to $2,500.
  • PROMOTE
    PROJECTS

    Students and teachers are encouraged to ask family and friends to help fund their projects by donating their points.
  • COLLECT
    DONATIONS

    We post the top proposals on our site, where members can donate their points . We award $1 for every 250 points.
  • RECEIVE
    FUNDING

    Schools receive a check to fund their projects based on the number of points they received as donations from our members.

IMPORTANT DATES

  • Application Period Begins: September 24, 2018
  • Applications Due: November 30, 2018
  • Accepted Schools Are Notified: December 14, 2018
  • Donation Period Begins: January 7, 2019
  • Donation Period Ends: March 19, 2019
  • Results Announced: March 22, 2019
  • Checks Mailed: April 1, 2019
