The Green Schools Program

USE YOUR POINTS TO
MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN
COMMUNITY SCHOOLS

During the school year, students will propose a green project designed to improve their school or community.

After we’ve selected the Top 50 plans, Recyclebank members can donate their points to help make their dreams a reality.

HOW THE GREEN SCHOOLS PROGRAM WORKS

  • MAKE
    A PLAN

Elementary and secondary schools in participating communities submit a proposal with a budget up to $2,500.
  • PROMOTE
    PROJECTS

Students and teachers are encouraged to ask family and friends to help fund their projects by donating their Recyclebank points.
  • COLLECT
    DONATIONS

We post the top proposals on our site, where members can donate their points. We award $1 for every 250 points.
  • RECEIVE
    FUNDING

Schools receive a check to fund their projects based on the number of points they received as donations from our members.
