Operation School Bell: Needy children are provided an opportunity to select NEW warm winter clothes. For many children this is a first time shopping experience. Teachers see immediate benefits, which include improved self-confidence and attendance. 13,000 children have benefited to date.
Assault Survivor Kits: Victims of sexual assault or domestic violence are often asked to leave their clothing for forensic evidence. Assault Survivor Kits, which include articles of clothing and personal hygiene items, are supplied to trauma centers across Michigan.
One 2 One Tutoring: Early elementary readers are tutored by Assistance League volunteers on a weekly basis.
Link to Creative Teaching: Funding to teachers to allow them to offer special projects for their classrooms not otherwise possible.
Buddy Bears: Stuffed bears give comfort to children in crisis.
