Ron Gonen
Co-Founder, Chief Executive Officer
Ron is the Co-Founder and CEO of RecycleBank. During his tenure as CEO, RecycleBank has grown from an idea to a company that today is rewarding people for their positive green actions across North America and the UK. RecycleBank has been recognized with a number of business and environmental recognitions including being recognized as a Technology Pioneer by the World Economic Forum and being designated as a Champion of the Earth by the United Nations Environment Program.
Prior to RecycleBank, Ron was at Deloitte Consulting where he developed CRM and strategic account management programs for clients such as Bank of America, Bank of Montreal, Bank One, GE, and DIRECTV. It was during this time that Ron gained the technical and software expertise that enabled him to design EcoStrong, the proprietary software that RecycleBank runs on. Ron was a co-recipient of Deloitte Consulting’s National Impact Award for helping to develop a consulting unit that provides pro bono consulting services to non-profit and charitable organizations.
Ron is also a part owner of Linhardt Design Studio (www.linhardtdesignstudio.com), a jewelry company that designs and manufactures fine jewelry made from recycled metals and sustainable materials.
Ron received a BA in History from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst where graduated with Departmental Honors and was a Massachusetts Commonwealth Scholar. He received an MBA from Columbia Business School where he was a Eugene M. Lang Center for Entrepreneurship award winner.
Ron enjoys trying to play the guitar, playing basketball, the beach and reading.
Matt Tucker
President
Matthew Tucker is responsible for municipal and hauler sales and marketing, government affairs, operations and customer care, international development, legal, and human resources.
Tucker was most recently President of ISC Software, a workforce management company. He was also the head of business development for Smart Systems Technologies, a provider of RFID and loyalty solutions to the retail industry. Prior to Smart Systems, Matt was CEO of Rely Software, named by Upside magazine as one of the top 100 private companies in the world. Tucker successfully grew the company and sold it to Odyssey Logistics, a spin-off of Dow Chemical. Tucker was a member of the founding management team at LendingTree, and served as the company’s first head of sales and marketing.
Matt earned his MBA from Georgetown University and holds a BA from the University of Michigan.
John Bax
Chief Financial Officer
John is the Chief Financial Officer of RecycleBank, where he is responsible for all finance and accounting functions of the company, ranging from items like capital markets and treasury to budgeting and forecasting. Prior to RecycleBank, John served as the CFO of Sentient, where he saw the company through record growth and profitability.
Prior to Sentient, John was Vice President of Planning and Analysis for Wal-Mart Stores, where he was responsible for financial and strategic planning and analysis for the world's largest company. Before working with Wal-Mart Stores, John was the CFO of Walmart.com, where he led all finance functions as well as merchandise planning, legal, and real estate. John first joined Walmart.com as Controller at its start-up, and built the financial team that supported the site's phenomenal growth. John also spent eight years at Ernst & Young in both the Audit and Center for Strategic Transactions practices.
He received his B.S. in Accounting and an MBA from Oklahoma State University, and was a Silver Medal winner on the Certified Public Accountant exam.
John is married to Camille, and they have three children — Evan, Teagan, and Braunsen.
Scott Lamb
Chief Operating Officer
As Chief Operating Officer, Scott is responsible for all field operations. This includes supporting the deployment and maintenance of the RFID and scale technologies to ensure accurate and reliable tracking of recycling performance. His team of Project Managers coordinates all aspects of deployment of the RecycleBank program and his General Management Team provides ongoing client management services post-deployment. He is also responsible for the data administration team ensuring all recycling activity translates into points, and for call center operations to answer any questions customers may have.
Prior to RecycleBank, Scott worked for TOMRA of North America for 15 years, helping build their business unit in New England, Michigan, and California. As the General Manager for TOMRA Michigan, he built the organization from the ground up and established a 95% market share. As President of TOMRA Pacific he lead all sales, marketing, and operations in the California marketing area, and was instrumental in enacting new legislation that increased recycling rates in the state.
Scott holds a BS from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, and has spoken as a panelist at The Wharton School Net Impact Conference on the topic of Green Cities: Partnerships, Engagement, and Business Rationale.
Scott is married and has three children. He is a huge fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, and hobbies include golf and running.
Frank Yang
Chief Technology Officer
In his role, Frank is responsible for overseeing the technology and systems that enable new ways to reward people for their socially responsible behavior. This involves maintaining the existing systems supporting RecycleBank’s business and implementing new strategic technologies.
Frank has over 20 years of experience implementing large, complex IT solutions and building IT organizations. Prior to joining RecycleBank, he was a Director at Deloitte Consulting where he was a leader in their Enterprise Applications—Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Service Line practice. In addition, Frank worked at Andersen Consulting in a variety of engagements in the financial services, manufacturing, and communications industries, designing and implementing systems in various technical and functional environments.
Frank holds a BA in Biology from the University of Pennsylvania and a BS in Computer Systems Engineering from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, where he graduated cum laude.
When Frank's not on his gnarly new motorcycle, he spends time with his wife (Marie), two kids (Jillian and James), and two dogs (Obi and Monkey), and tries to contribute to society in a positive fashion.
Morley Ivers
Chief Rewards Officer
Morley leads the Rewards Team and is responsible for the global RecycleBank Rewards Program. The Rewards Team is responsible for the core rewards program; establishing key national, regional and local reward partnerships in all territories; and ensuring that RecycleBank members have access to redemption options that motivate engagement.
Morley is an experienced entrepreneur and loyalty program marketplace expert. Previously, he acted in the capacity of GM for Air Incentives, a loyalty incentive program fuelled by frequent flyer miles, and as Vice President of Business Strategy for Points International, a publicly traded corporation that develops proprietary solutions to the loyalty industry and operates Points.com, the world's leading reward-program management portal.
Morley is a Dean’s Honor List graduate of The Richard Ivey School of Business.
Morley was born and raised in Toronto, Canada, and relocated his family to New York so that he could apply his passion for loyalty and reward programs at RecycleBank, in order to better the world for his son, Hudson.
Ian Yolles
Chief Marketing Officer
Ian’s marketing savvy gets the RecycleBank message out to all households and partners, while building a strong sense of brand integrity and consistency from the inside, out.
His passion for the outdoors and interest in human development dictates his work. Beginning at Outward Bound, Ian was appointed the youngest Executive Director in the company’s history. Next was a string of top brands like The Body Shop, Patagonia, and Nike, followed by Dialogos, a world leader and pioneer in the theory and practice of dialogue, organizational learning and the stewardship of strategic change. Most recently Ian co-founded Nau, a retail-direct, outdoor lifestyle apparel company. As Vice President of Marketing and Brand Communications, Ian oversaw the marketing activities that defined the Nau brand and associated customer experience, building deep and lasting relationships with customers and bringing Nau’s brand narrative to life.
Ian earned a BA from Antioch College and received a post-graduate Research Fellowship from the Thomas J. Watson Foundation. He is also a graduate of the Program For Executive Development at the Sauder School of Business, University of British Columbia.
When not building top brands, Ian also speaks on branding and sustainability issues around the country. He can be found in his kayak, on his skis, pedaling his road bike or surfing the waves, and has only just begun to call New York City his home, with his wife Irene.
Bill Wolfram
Senior Vice President, Municipal and Hauler Accounts
Bill Wolfram is responsible for sales to municipal and hauler accounts for the RecycleBank curbside program. He also leads a team of Regional Managers that work with government and hauler partners across the country to bring the RecycleBank program to their constituents.
Prior to RecycleBank, Bill was most recently President of WEW Environmental, working with clients such as the New York City Department of Sanitation, the Los Angeles County Sanitation District, Allied Waste Industries, Inc. and Duke Energy. Previously, he served as Regional Vice President of Business Development for Browning-Ferris Industries, Inc. working in various regions throughout North America, Asia, and Australia.
Sue Igoe
UK Managing Director of RecycleBank
Sue Igoe is the UK Managing Director of RecycleBank, responsible for leading the growth of RecycleBank’s popular environmental rewards program in the United Kingdom. A founding employee and member of RecycleBank’s Executive Management team, Sue has held responsibility for the technology, rewards, sales and marketing teams, and most recently was the Vice President of Marketing, where she managed the global growth of the RecycleBank brand.
Prior to RecycleBank, Sue was a part of the team that launched Agora Partnerships, a micro-venture capital fund that invests in emerging market entrepreneurs in Central America, where she currently sits on the board. Sue helped start a successful online men’s lifestyle magazine in San Francisco that was purchased by Playboy Enterprises, where she later became the Director of Marketing and Events. Early in her career she launched an online division of an international business-to-business publisher in the United States and traveled the world as an International Travel Director for INTRAV, a luxury tour operator.
Sue graduated magna cum laude with a BA from Boston College and was on the Dean’s List at Columbia Business School where she earned her MBA. Sue will soon be calling the UK home, with her husband, Seth, and son, Silas.
Preston Read
Senior Vice President, Government Affairs
As SVP Government Affairs, Preston manages RecycleBank’s relationships with state environmental agencies, helps the sales team with large municipal accounts, and is the point person for the U.S. Conference of Mayors, the International City Management Association, and national environmental NGO’s.
Prior to joining RecycleBank, Preston was the Vice President of Environmental Affairs for the American Beverage Association, where he worked closely with many of our current partners. Before his decade with the ABA, Preston was the first Recycling Program Manager for Arlington County, VA, and also spent time as a Solid Waste management consultant.
David Wigder
Vice President, Business Development
As Vice President, Business Development, David is responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities and strategic partnerships for RecycleBank.
Prior to RecycleBank, David was Senior Vice President at Digitas, a member of the Paris-based Publicis Groupe, where he developed marketing strategies for Fortune 100 clients including American Express, Time Warner, and Pfizer. During his tenure at Digitas, he also headed the global Strategy & Analysis team for Digitas Health. David started his career as an environmental engineer, working to remediate hazardous waste sites on several military bases.
David holds a BA from Northwestern University, an MSE in environmental engineering from the University of Michigan, and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
David lives with his wife and three children in New York City.
Charlie Gray
Senior Vice President, HR
Charlie is responsible for all employee-related functions at RecycleBank, including recruiting, employee relations, benefits, performance and compensation.
Prior to joining RecycleBank, he managed recruitment and human resources for Google’s North American Sales group from 2003 to 2008, during which time the team roughly doubled in size year over year. As one of the first HR leaders at Google, he also partnered with sales leadership on the design and structure of Google’s customer-facing employees and managed evolutionary changes as the company iterated its sales model and launched new products and revenue streams. Prior to joining Google, Charlie led recruitment and HR at Ziff Davis Media, publisher of PC Magazine, eWeek and Yahoo! Internet Life. Before that, he built and managed the recruitment function at Prism Rehabilitation Systems, a leading national healthcare provider, which grew from a few hundred staff to 10,000 employees over the course of three years.
Charlie received two degrees from the State University of New York at Buffalo, in Music Performance and English Literature, and was a recipient of the Baird and Simon Piano Performance Scholarships.
Charlie enjoys traveling with his wife Jackie, and playing piano duets with his kids Ella and Owen.

Fred Hannon
Vice President and General Manager, Southeast Region
Fred is responsible for leading the RecycleBank development in Texas and the Southeast, and showing the economic and ecological benefits of the curbisde program.

Bob Milligan
Vice President and General Manager, Mid-Atlantic Region
As the VP/GM of the Mid-Atlantic Region, Bob is responsible for the hauler and municipality relationship of that region, and creating sales solutions for existing and potential clients.

Bob started his first waste company in 1970, growing it into the largest single subscription hauler in eastern Pennsylvania until—after 14 years of successfully growing his company—Bob merged his company with BFI. At BFI, Bob held a number of management roles including District Manager and Manager of First Medical Waste Division. In 1994, Bob developed and operated an 11-acre yard waste-composting site in Central Bucks County, diverting 17,000 tons of yard waste from the landfills per year. In 1996, Bob took on the additional responsibility of Assistant Eastern Pennsylvania Divisional V.P. for BFI. In 1989, when Pennsylvania’s Governor Casey signed the Recycling Act 101 into law, Bob became responsible for educating, converting, and servicing tens of thousands of residential and commercial customers to recycling.
Bob and his wife Shirl have enjoyed the world of antiques for their entire married life. As a hobby, they especially enjoy appraising items for friends and others — it’s great seeing the expression on people’s faces when they realize that “thing” that has been in their attic actually has value.
Atul Nanda
President, Canadian Division; Vice President and General Manager, Midwest Region
Atul’s responsibilities include both developing our municipal and hauler business in the Midwestern U.S. and Canada, and also establishing and leading our RecycleBank division north of the border in Canada.

Atul has worked in both the public and private sectors in the past eighteen years—including management positions within the City of Toronto and several large national solid waste and recycling companies. Atul has been involved in municipal and federal waste management and recycling policy, making as well as marketing materials from curbside programs including paper, plastics, metal, and glass. He has served on many advisory committees associated with the recycling and environmental industry including the Canadian National Roundtable on the Environment and Economy.
Atul has an undergraduate degree in Environment and Resource Studies from the University of Waterloo and his Masters from York University.
When not in airports, Atul enjoys time with his family playing golf and coaching hockey and soccer.
Axel Newe
Vice President of Operations; Vice President and General Manager, California
Axel is responsible for the development of the curbside program in California, as well as contributing his expertise to operations, helping RecycleBank operate smoothly and with the best service possible.

Prior to joining RecycleBank, Axel worked as a management consultant, focusing extensively on marketing, sales, service, and support. His primary focus has been the implementation of large enterprise solutions, managing and implementing all levels of the process and software development life cycle to include analysis and design, development, testing, roll-out, and post-roll-out support.
Axel previously served in the Navy, and held leadership roles in engineering, operations, and navigation on several ships.

Mike is responsible for municipal and hauler business development and sales in both the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast regions.

With over 20 years in solution selling and business development, Kim’s experience is rich in the rewards industry, where she has worked with top-level executives at Fortune 500 Companies developing incentive programs for consumers, employees, and the sales channels. Kim also has 10 years experience in the hospitality business — meetings and events management, as well as incentive travel.
Additionally, Kim is an outdoor enthusiast who possesses a deep passion for environmental issues and sustainable initiatives, and is dedicated to driving green behavior and recycling.
Judy Kenney
Regional Manager, Southwest
Judy is the South Central Government Sales Manager and works with municipalities and haulers in the South and Southwest to implement RecycleBank programs.

Prior to RecycleBank, Judy was the Co-Founder and VP of Sales at Fusion Learning Systems, a systems integrator focused on the educational space. Before founding Fusion Learning Systems, Kenney spent 10 years in the advertising industry working for the Austin Chronicle and New Times, now Village Voice media, and at alternative weeklies in Houston and Los Angeles.
She received her BA In English with a history minor from the University of Tennessee.
Mike Mazzaroni
Regional Manager, Northeast
Mike is responsible for building long-term relationships with partners and municipal clients from Trenton to Toronto, helping them implement incentive based programs to increase recycling, reduce waste and reward their households, communities and local businesses.

Mike has worked for a number of the industry's leading technology companies. Most recently, Mike was responsible for leading one of Sun Microsystems’ largest global account teams. Previous to Sun, Mike worked at Teradata, USWeb, AT&T, Bell Labs, and MCI in a variety of sales, sales leadership, and engineering positions. He’s most experienced at leading sales teams in developing long term, mutually beneficial partnerships with their clients.
Andy Korman
Director, Account Management
Andy manages strategic partnerships with national solid waste companies, including Republic Services and Waste Connections. In his role since 2008, Andy works with haulers to develop growth strategies which create significant economic and environmental value. As a member of the RecycleBank Sales Team, Andy works closely with Regional Managers and reports to Bill Wolfram.

Prior to joining RecycleBank, Andy was a Senior Manager at ServiceSource, where he developed and delivered account retention and growth strategies for leading technology clients such as Quantum, Agilent Technologies, and Blue Coat Systems. During his tenure with ServiceSource, Andrew spent two years in Ireland and England, where he founded and built the European business to include eight clients and 105 employees. Andrew received his BA from the University of Southern California.

Bridget Croke
Director, Partnership Development, Midwest and New England
Bridget is responsible for building partnerships and sponsorships with national companies based in New England and the Midwest that reward RecycleBank members for recycling and other green actions.

Prior to RecycleBank, Bridget was Co-Director of the White Dog Café Foundation and the landmark Buy Fresh Buy Local Campaign. Previously, she worked with the Center for a New American Dream in Washington, D.C., promoting sustainable consumption, and also with Growing Power in Milwaukee, WI, on VermiComposting. Bridget earned a BS from the University of Wisconsin — Madison with a focus on Sustainable Development and Agriculture.
Azim Esmail
Director, Rewards Development
Azim is responsible for partnership development and strategy for RecycleBank’s Rewards program.

Before RecycleBank, Azim worked for Points International Ltd, a leading provider of proprietary solutions to the loyalty industry, and operator of the world's leading reward-program management portal, Points.com. As Manager of Business Development, his key responsibilities included partnership development, account management, and strategic direction for a new technology platform. In a prior role, he was an Associate at The Gordon Mowatt Group (GMG), a boutique business development and marketing consulting firm. Azim graduated with honors from the Richard Ivey School of Business at The University of Western Ontario.
Aron Levinson
Director, Partnership Development, Western Region
Aron manages Western region sponsorship sales at RecycleBank, where he builds long-term business relationships with partners.

Aron was previously the Advertising Sales Director at IAC/InterActiveCorp, where he managed the Southwest advertising sales team. His clients included: Toyota, Starbucks, Hyundai, Kia, Nordstrom, Nissan, Wal-Mart, Chili’s, Sony Pictures, JC Penney, MGM/Mirage, and Universal Pictures. Prior to IAC/InterActive Corp, Aron was a Multi-Media Automotive Account Executive at Tribune/Los Angeles Times and has two previous dot-com start-ups under his belt from Wirebreak.com and Excite@Home. He earned his BA in Journalism from the University of Missouri — Columbia.
When Aron is finished creating value for his clients and RecycleBank, Aron is at Hermosa Beach with his wife and young children picking up trash and educating them on the importance of recycling. Born and raised in Southern California, living a green lifestyle is a part of his DNA. He is also a devoted Los Angeles Dodgers fan and plays catcher for a baseball team in the MSBL called Dodgertown West.
Bob Staub
Director, Partnership Development, Eastern
Bob is responsible for Eastern region sponsorship sales building long-term business relationships with sponsorship and reward program partners.

Prior to joining RecycleBank, Bob worked for MyPoints.com, a leading provider of Internet direct marketing and one of the largest online shopping rewards and loyalty programs. As Director of National Sales, Bob worked closely with companies implementing interactive marketing campaigns. In a prior role, he was the Senior Strategist providing strategic direct marketing advice both internally as well as to MyPoints’ clients including Office Depot, Wal-Mart, FTD, and ServiceMaster. Before MyPoints, Bob was a Senior Marketing Manager with the Institute for International Research.
Bob graduated from Hamilton College in Clinton, NY, with a BA in Government and Economics. He also holds an MBA in Marketing and Finance from Rutgers University’s Graduate School of Management, where he graduated with honors.

Lisa Pomerantz
Vice President, Communications
As Vice President, Communications, Lisa wears many hats for RecycleBank. Lisa and her team focus on communication and public relations, generating buzz for all our municipal, hauler, and sponsorship and reward partners. Lisa also heads up the Green Schools Program, providing financial help to encourage green education, and lastly, she takes care of all of the social responsibility aspects of business, working to embed sustainability into the fabric of our organization — from the ground up!
Prior to RecycleBank, Lisa led Marketing for Starbucks Coffee Company in the Upper Mid-Atlantic. Aside from making a mean cappuccino, Lisa worked to build brand value by creating community based grassroots marketing programs. Lisa graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. from Syracuse University.
Lisa sits on the Board for the Urban Tree Connection in Philadelphia, PA. When not doing things environmental or dog-related, Lisa enjoys yoga, volunteering, spending time with her daughter and partner, and doing crossword puzzles.
Alexa du Pont Bell
Director, Online Revenue
Alexa is responsible for conceptualizing and packaging all of the online assets that drive value for our many partners. She builds online partnerships with like-minded brands while enhancing our members' experience.
Prior to joining RecycleBank, Alexa was an Associate at RRE Ventures, where she focused on investments in early-to-mid-stage information technology companies. Previously she worked on strategy and business development for GoldPocket Wireless (acquired by Motricity), and as an Investment Banker at UBS she focused on Telecom, Media & Technology. Alexa is also the Co-founder of Cents Ability, a non-profit volunteer organization that teaches basic financial literacy to teens throughout New York City.
Alexa holds an AB with Honors from Harvard University, where she was Commodore of the Radcliffe Varsity Crew, and also holds an MBA from Harvard Business School.
