Jonathan K. Hsu
Chief Executive Officer
“Recyclebank provides me the privileged opportunity to make a positive impact on our environment and in our communities. We will demonstrate that doing well and doing good go hand-in-hand.”
Recyclebank Chief Executive Officer Jonathan K. Hsu is responsible for the overall operations and strategic direction of the company. A media and Internet executive veteran, Jonathan was previously the chief executive officer of 24/7 Real Media, the leaders behind the science of digital marketing and part of WPP, the world leader in marketing communications.
Prior to his 11-year tenure at 24/7 Real Media, Jonathan spent time as an M&A investment banker at JP Morgan Securities. He is a member of the World Economic Forum Future of the Internet Council, as well as The Paley Center for Media and the Vistage CEO global community.
Jonathan holds a B.A. in economics from Harvard University and an M.B.A. in strategic management and finance from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
He lives in New York City with his wife and two daughters; he loves the Yankees (Go Rivera!) and the occasional round of golf with friends who appreciate a relative lack of graceful athletic movement.
Kris Heinrichs
Chief Financial Officer
“Recyclebank is a company that I have long admired, tackling one of the most critical issues facing the planet today. With its strategic and proven business model, Recyclebank is making a measurable impact on the green choices consumers make.”
Recyclebank Chief Financial Officer Kris Heinrichs is responsible for various key company functions including finance and accounting, management reporting, human resources, and legal services. Prior to joining Recyclebank, he was the chief financial officer of 24/7 Real Media, a leading digital marketing company.
Before his 11 year tenure at 24/7 Real Media, Kris worked for KPMG, where he specialized in auditing clients in the information, communications and entertainment industries. Kris also served in the United States Army.
He is a certified public account and holds a B.S. in business administration from University of Richmond with a concentration in accounting.
He lives in New Jersey with his wife and two daughters and is also the chairman of One in Four, a non-profit organization devoted to sexual assault prevention education primarily on college campuses.
Matthew J. Tucker
President
“The complexity and uniqueness of Recyclebank excites me. One day I could be walking through a Material Recovery Facility in England, the next day meeting with a Mayor in the U.S., and the next day leading a discussion on mobile products and Social Media. There is no blueprint for what we do every day. While that means we make mistakes, the ability to blaze a new trail and be unconstrained by history, bureaucracy, and pre-conceived ideas about the business is exciting and rewarding.”
As President, Matt oversees both Municipal and Channel Sales, as well as Recyclebank’s Operations, Customer Service, Government Affairs, and International departments and branches.
Before Recyclebank, Matt spent time as Founder and founding management team-member of a number of start-up companies — some very successful, some not, but all interesting and challenging. Matt was previously President of ISC Software, Chief Executive Officer of Rely Software, a member of the founding management team at Lending Tree and Odyssey Logistics & Technology, and was the Senior Vice President of Business Development at Smart Systems Technologies (a provider of mobile payments).
Despite the current state of the athletic department, Matt is a proud graduate of the University of Michigan, where he earned his BA in Political Science and wrote his thesis on “Decision Making in the security Council During the Iran-Contra Affair” (does anyone remember that?). He holds an MBA from Georgetown University.
Matt is a native of Washington, D.C., but now lives in the NYC-area with his wife and two boys, who he enjoys coaching in basketball, soccer, and baseball — Merillon Champs two of the last three years, baby!
